About me
I have been working as an artist and illustrator for many years from my home studio in the coastal town of Troon in the west of Scotland, from where I draw, paint, print and also offer tuition. The natural beauty of the coast, the large open sky, and the surrounding landscape make it an inspirational place in which to live and work.

When I first became a freelance artist it was a natural progression to draw and paint interior and exterior portraits of buildings having originally trained and worked as an Interior Designer, followed by further studies and work in the field of Architectural Conservation. As can be seen by my portfolio that is not all I do! I use a variety of materials, mediums and techniques to make an extensive range of artworks of many subjects.

The style and appearance and size of finished artwork, whether drawn or painted, in oil, watercolour, pastel, crayon, in another drawing medium or perhaps in a print medium, is largely determined by the character of the subject matter. And I really enjoy doing everything – from the more classical Still Life studies in oil to the more quirky cards and illustrations.
